The Carrington Area Chamber of Commerce has an immediate opening for the position of Executive Director. Qualified applicants will be priority-conscious multi-taskers with a service-driven attitude. Microsoft Office, Quicken, and Dreamweaver skills a plus. Up to forty flexible hours per week, including regular office hours and some required evening and weekend community events. Salary dependent on experience.

 

BIRDING DRIVES DAKOTA
Position Title: Program Manager

Length of Term: Average 50 hours per month, flexible hours, and 6-month temporary appointment with the potential for permanent status subject to review and funding constraints.

Duties: Responsibilities include office management, public relations, fund raising, publicity, and event coordination for Birding Drives Dakota. Specific duties include working collaboratively with the Potholes and Prairie Birding Festival committee to organize activities and events for this festival, including managing registration, transportation, amenities and scheduling of this annual event. Office management duties include answering telephones and email requests for information, as well as creating, formatting and placing publicity and advertising for Birding Drives Dakota and the Festival. Program manager attends board meetings of Birding Drives Dakota and reports to the President of Birding Drives Dakota

Position Requirements:
1. Valid Driver’s license and own transportation required.
2. Some travel required.

Position qualifications:
* Organized self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, able to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
* People oriented outgoing person interested in working for a non-profit nature based tourism corporation.
* Personal computer experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
* Experience with event planning and coordination desired.
* Fund raising and donation solicitation experience desired.
* Experience with web page design, maintenance, and editing desired.
* Experience with Dreamweaver software desired.

Base Pay: Negotiable DOE
